MARIO BUGEJA
MANAGER AIRPORT SECURITY

Mario Bugeja was born on the 16th February 1957. He was educated at the Archbishop Seminary Floriana - Malta and attended courses in Law and Police Procedures Malta Police - 1983, Business Application – 1991,Computer Skills – 1997, Aviation Security Management EASTI Brussels – 1998, Crisis Manager EASTI Brussels – 2000, Aviation Security, London - 2001

He joined the Malta Police in 1979 and worked at Airport and Seaport Immigration, Criminal Investigations Department, Mobile and Head District Stations till 1993

In 1994 he joined a Travel & Tourism Agency and worked in the Ticketing, Travel Reservations & Marketing Department until 1997.

In May 2000 he was appointed Manager Airport Security (Airport Authority) within the Ministry for Home Affairs and the Environment with the responsibility for the overall management and control of aviation security at Malta International Airport.
