MAGISTRATE DR. MICHAEL MALLIA
Magistrate Michael Mallia was born in Valletta, Malta on 31st March 1950, son of Dr Paul Mallia and Mary Ciancio. He attended St Joseph School, Rabat and St. Aloysius College, B’Kara. In 1970, he entered the University of Malta and graduated as Doctor of Law (LL.D.) in 1975.

He was called to the bar in 1976 and until 1985 he practised with Law firm “Paul Mallia Advocates”. On the 8th of January 1986, he was nominated Magistrate, serving also in Gozo up to November 2000. He is also an External examiner in Criminal Law at University of Malta.

He is married to Lorna Wismayer with 2 children: Danielle and Nicholas
