Mr. Jesmond Camilleri
Director (Programme Implementation)
Mr
Jesmond Camilleri joined the Public Service in 1986 and was
posted at the Electoral Office where he served in various
sections for a period of 13 years. During such time he was
promoted through calls for application to the grades of
Executive Officer (in 1991) and Principal Officer (in 1996).
In 1999 he was transferred to the Human Resources Section
(Department of Corporate Services) within the Office of the
Prime Minister and in 2000 was selected, following a call for
applications, for attachment at the Management Efficiency Unit
(for a period of three years). During such time he formed part
of teams that were assigned projects related to various
Divisions and Departments, including the Land and Public
Registry Division, the Salaries Section within the Ministry of
Education, the Licensing and Testing Directorate and the (then)
Ministry for the Environment.
Subsequent to such attachment period, in 2003 Mr. Camilleri was
deployed within the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry
of Agriculture and Fisheries – at the same time he was appointed
Senior Principal. In 2004 he was appointed as Assistant
Director within the same Office of the Permanent Secretary
(Ministry for Rural Affairs and the Environment) and among other
tasks was responsible for assisting the Permanent Secretary with
the administration of his Office.
In December 2005 Mr. Camilleri was appointed Director (Programme
Implementation) within the Ministry for Justice and Home
Affairs.
